Michael Notrica is a photographic artist born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., with a B.F.A. in Cinematography and Still Photography from Emerson College and a M.F.A. in Film Production from University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. where he still lives. His practice as a documentarian all started when he was making a film in 2012 on the Egyptian Revolution and why American youth should care about international geo-politics.  From there he went on to explore the documentary nature of ethnographic photography in Northern Ghana where he was tasked in 2013 to capture scenes of the Fra Fra people being interviewed.  He's gone on to capture photographs both in an ethnographic lens and a fine -art lens of many vast landscapes, peoples in hard to reach corners of the globe, wildlife, and belief systems.
